On BuildUp, we welcome courses across a wide range of categories, including Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Surveying, Business, and many more. Anyone can teach just about anything they’re passionate about sharing. Start your course draft here and publish whenever you’re ready.
All courses must meet these three guidelines:
- Courses are educational and foster learning for the sake of learning.
We support authentic, inspired learning; all courses on BuildUp are, first and foremost, educational. Courses help users to expand their knowledge, flex their know-how muscles, and have genuine interactions in the community. Courses cannot be self-promotional or offer “how to get rich” schemes and must meet our minimum standards for educational quality, which can be found here.
- Courses must include two recap exercises and meet our minimum standards for length and quality.
We believe in learning by doing, and that’s why all BuildUp courses are task-based. Through a minimum of 15 minutes of content, teachers show users how to complete a technical and engaging task that they can share via BuildUp for feedback. To ensure users have the best possible learning experience, we also require all course to meet our minimum compliance standards for quality and all other required elements in our course publishing checklist.
- Classes must adhere to our Community Guidelines.
We take the safety of our community seriously, which means all courses must meet our Community Guidelines. Teachers must be the primary content producer behind their courses, post legal content, and interact with users and members of our team with respect. Teachers may not publish classes into our Premium catalogue that are available for free off of BuildUp (learn more here).
We believe these guidelines allow us to foster a real world, collaborative, and genuine community for sharing and learning.
