Feedback
We are passionate about making sure our products work for you, and we want to know what you'd like to see. So, if you receive an email (or if you see a pop-up on ReachBack), this is your opportunity to tell us what you think.
Please select how likely you are to recommend us and leave a comment - we read all of your feedback and take everything on board, and most feedback ends up on our roadmap!
Q2 Round Up
This section will look at what we have been working on in Academy recently. We release updates on Academy on a 4 week cycle which you can find here.
We are continually growing our Academy library. Below are a few new additions worth highlighting...

If you already have access to our library of eLearning content, you can find these courses in our Learner Library.
If you don't have an account but would like one, please get in touch by emailing support@builtintelligence.com, or read here for more options.
Webinars
Barry Trebes, who was part of the writing group for the NEC and has written a number of books, has presented the following webinars recently:
In these webinars, Barry identifies good management practice in relation to the assessments of Defined Costs, talks you through how to spot things that should not be included, and how the application of Disallowed Costs is part of the assessment of Defined Costs in the NEC.
If you weren't able to view the above webinars, they will be shown again in 6 months time. But, if you have a subscription with us, you can watch them on-demand. See here for more information.
If you haven't already, you can download the Bridge Mobile App onto your phone and you can complete your eLearning (and webinars) offline.
We've also recently had Susanne Madsen presenting her Stress Management for Construction Professionals webinar, which can also be accessed on our Academy if you have a subscription.
Academy Features
Overdue Items
You may have noticed that on our eLearning platform there is a new section titled 'Needs My Attention'.
If your eLearning becomes Overdue it will be moved to this section, and you will be sent reminders.
Note: Your Overdue learning is split into individual modules in the 'Needs My Attention' category, rather than contained as a course/programme. If you'd prefer to see the whole programme, you can use the filters.
Accelerate Programmes
We're aware the construction industry is ever-changing and ever-evolving, and your skills need to remain relevant. It's paramount that you are upskilled, so we've listened to our clients and we are now offering an Accelerated Programme as a new way of learning.
The Accelerated Programme offers a hybrid way of learning, which we can customise to suit you. It's not only working your way through the eLearning, but it will be interspersed with workshops delivered by industry experts and trainers - for example, Barry Trebes who was part of the drafting team for the NEC.
Why choose the Accelerated Programme?:
- Ability to upskill your team quickly, with a scheduled time frame to complete learning.
- Helping staff with their learning can help them feel valued, which in turn improves retention.
- Ideal for business teams, or project teams, who may want to upskill their team at an accelerated rate. Perhaps you have a new project starting soon, in which case we can customise the programme to your specific needs.
If you are interested in learning more about our Accelerated Programme, please get in touch by emailing support@builtintelligence.com and a member of our team will be able to assist you.

FastDraft Last Quarter Notes - All Users
This section will look at what we have been working on in FastDraft recently. We release updates on FastDraft on a 2-4 week Sprint Cycle which you can find here.
Multi-currency
We can now support multiple currencies on a single contract. This previously wasn't supported, but now you can raise compensation events and payment applications/certificates in multiple currencies on a single contract.
Task Order Dates Management
For those of you who have a contract that features Task Orders (e.g. TSC, or in some cases FMC), we have enhanced the date management capability.
Previously you could track changes to the completion event of a Task Order, and now you can also track changes to the start date as well as the completion date of that task.
In addition to that, if you need it - although the contract standard wording doesn't require it - you can now certify the start/completion date.
Deemed Acceptance of a CEN/Programme
Those of you familiar with NEC will be aware that there are certain clauses in certain forms of the contract where failure to reply can lead to Deemed Acceptance, after the Supplier has notified the PM of their failure to reply.
That was already supported in FastDraft for quotations, if configured in the contract, and it is now supported for the Compensation Event notice and the Programme, where applicable.
If you would like this switched on your contract please contact us at support@builtintelligence.com
Federated SSO
Previously we have been able to support Single Sign-On, but there are occasions where multiple parties would like to use their own SSO on the same instance, which we can now support.
Please see here for more information.
PowerBI Exports
We now have the capability to implement embedded PowerBI reports, with over 100 visuals allowing you to track response rates and other KPIs.
You can now also export these reports to a PowerPoint or PDF file. If you've applied filters to your visual it will also export with the filters in place.
Aggregate Reports
We've now expanded the information in the Contract Summary report to include:
- Contract Template information
- Custom fields
Improved Related Notices
We've enhanced the Related Notices capability so that it is now ensured that any dropdowns selected on the original form will be pre-populated onto the related form to avoid time and potential errors.
Improved Party Structures
If you've worked on different types of contracts before you will know that sometimes there may be a Supervisor, and sometimes the Client has certain responsibilities. We've expanded the flexibility so that at a contract level you can tweak the party structure should you need to.
Improved Price Change on the Dashboard
The price breakdown you see on the contract dashboard is a result of the work we did on multi-currency - we've now enhanced it on the dashboard and split out the differences.
E.g. if you have Task Orders, you can see the impact your Task Orders have had on your contract.
We also recently implemented a new Assessments workflow which you'll see in the Price breakdown.
Simplified Print Navigation (Main/Reply Notice)
We have removed one of the print buttons and merged the 2 options under one print button. The option to print a reply will only appear if a reply exists.
FastDraft Roadmap
Improved Default Master Templates
We will be improving our default master templates to include some new functionality for you to take advantage of, such as:
- Certificates workflow
- Assessments (Other) workflow
- X1 - Inflation clauses
- X22 - Early Contractor Involvement clauses
- X29 - Climate Change clauses
Contract Exports
Should you need to download your contract, Administrators will soon have the ability to do so. This is typically done at the end of a contract, as it will create a PDF copy of every single notice, and extract all registers and attachments. They'll be exported into a zip folder overnight, ready to be downloaded the next day.
Enhanced Action Reminders
Those of you who use FastDraft will understand that there are a number of actions that the contract requires, such as a monthly payment application or programme submission, that we don't currently facilitate reminders for.
We're looking to support this, firstly by enabling users to manually create actions. These can be imported at the start of your contract, or you can manually add them one at a time. You can add single, one-off tasks, and you can add recurring tasks that repeat either weekly or monthly. We'll also be looking to implement automatically triggering some of these actions based on certain activities within FastDraft.
Accompanying that, we'll be looking into enhancing the reporting capabilities around these actions.
Company Administrator
We're looking to implement a new user type that will allow users on our managed instance to administer their own users and contracts without relying on our Support Team.
Custom Fields Administration
We've supported custom fields for a long time, but up until now if you wanted custom fields you'd need to contact us and we would assist.
We're looking to provide customers with the capability to add and manage their own custom fields themselves.
Reporting API
We hope those of you who are using PowerBI are finding it a useful tool, but we do have some customers who prefer to build their own reports or extract the data into a data warehouse and blend it with other data sources to build reporting capabilities.
We have a reporting API that you can access to do that should you so wish. Contact us at support@builtintelligence.com to find out more.
