Non-conformance guidance notes
Whilst not a contractual requirement, it is very useful to run a Register of these alongside the other requirements of the contract. Not following a process within the quality plan would be an NCR but might not lead to a defect. It is useful therefore, to run these as a useful management tool to make sure that processes are being followed to avoid the potential for future defects.
Non-conformance on the Contract Management Platform
Either Party can notify a non-conformance by using the “Create New” button. Details of the non-conformance are completed before creating the draft, which can be checked and amended as necessary and where relevant an attachment can be added before submitting. To submit use the “Communicate Notification” button.
Non-conformance Action
The Project Manager can use the “Action” tab within a specific NCR to respond and update the status of the NCR. They can state whether open or closed and if still open, whose action it is and what action is required. Once submitted, this will update the Register. The updating of actions can be repeated until the item is finally closed upon which the Register will update with the date closed.
