Our embedded Analytics are tailored to the specific permissions of each individual user so that each user will only see data for contracts they are entitled to see based on their user type, party and role. Nevertheless, it's sometimes useful to filter that view so that you're only seeing data for a specific area/framework/project/contract, etc.
FastDraft Analytics allows each user to apply a number of different filters to get different views of a subset of the data tailored to the individual's needs. These filters are simultaneously applied across all Power BI Reports and Power BI Registers.
For those using our embedded Analytics, it's now possible to select a set of and save that view so that you can easily return to it in the future.
To capture a view, simply set your filters and then hit Capture view. You will be prompted to name your view so that you can select it on another occasion.
You can now safely reset those filters and, if you like, apply a new set and save that view.
When you wish to re-apply those same filters you can do that by clicking the Saved views button and selecting the desired filter then clicking the load icon.
If no longer required, you can delete any of your views at any time. You can also export filtered report pages to pdf by hitting the export icon and you can also share a set of filters by copying a link and sending to a colleague. They can then also save that set of filters for future use if they like.
When sharing a set of filters, please bear in mind that the person you share with will still only see data they are entitled to see. If, for example, you're working on 6 contracts in the Central region and your colleague is working on 2 contracts in that region then the filters you share will be applied but they will still only see data for the 2 contracts they have access to.
