Introduction to deactivating or reactivating users
Our Contract Management Platform supports the ability for authorised users to be able to deactivate or reactivate one or more users through the User Interface.
This functionality is only available for our Enterprise customers who have their own instance of our Contract Management Platform and have subscribed to have this feature enabled.
Only authorised users with the role of System Administrators can have this feature enabled, not Super Users, View All Users, Project General Manager Users or Read Only Users.

How to deactivate or reactivate a single user
Navigate to the Admin Panel which can be accessed from the user profile in the top right browser. Select Company Management.

Search for the Company which the user you would like to deactivate or reactivate is assigned too.
Select the Company Users tab. From the Users register you will be able to see which users are Active or Passive. Passive indicates that a user is deactivated:
By clicking on the Filter symbol you can filter the register to show either Active, Passive or both Active and Passive users.
Search and click on the required user that you would like to deactivate or reactivate.
To deactivate an Active user click on the Red Deactivate button and confirm that you would like to deactivate the user:
To reactivate a user deactivated instead of showing a Red Deactivate button the system will show you a Green Activate button:
Upon clicking on the Green Activate button you will be presented to select the status of the reactivation. You will need to select either of the 2 options and then click on the Green Activate button:
Reinstate Contract Permissions - This option will add the user back onto the contract(s) that they were previously assigned to with the same permissions.
Do Not Reinstate Contract Permissions - This option will not assign the user to any contracts, you will need to add the user to the required contract(s).
How to deactivate or reactivate multiple users
In the left-hand navigation panel, Manage System Users can be found under Settings > Users.
From the Users register you can deactivate or reactivate one or multiple users. Use the register filtering and search features to find the users you would like to deactivate or reactivate. Under the System Account Status you can also filter by Active or Passive.
Use the tick boxes on the left-hand side of the register to select which users you want to deactivate/reactivate.
Note: FastDraft utilises cache/cookies to remember your previous user selection, even if you have navigated away from the page since. This is done in case an error is made, to avoid Admin Users having to re-select everyone they just made an incorrect change to.
Best practice is, when you first visit this register, use the 'Select All' tick box in the top left-hand corner of the register (next to System Account Status - see image above) to select all users, then untick it to deselect all users.
Once you have selected either one or multiple users select either the Deactivate or Activate options:
Deactivate Option:
Selecting the Deactivate option the system will present you with a confirmation of how many users are going to be deactivated, click on the Red Deactivate button to confirm you action.
Activate Option:
Selecting the Activate option, the system will present you with a confirmation of how many many users are going to be reactivated.
You will need to select either of the 2 options and then click on the Green Activate button:
Activate & Reinstate Permissions - This option will add the users back onto the contract(s) that they were previously assigned to with the same permissions.
Activate Only - This option will not assign the users to any contracts, you will need to add the user to the required contract(s).
