Introduction
According to NEC:
"Project Orders are a secondary option, which are different to Service Orders as they allow the Client to instruct additional work which has a level of complexity, coordination and risk which requires a programme for its execution and which may include changes or additions to the Scope and the Price List."
We have created a new Project Order Workflow on the NEC4 FMC contract template to cater for the following clauses:
- Clause 19 Service Orders
- Option clause X27 Project Orders
How to Create a Related Project Order
Once a Quote has been sent by the Service Provider, the onus is on the Service Manager to reply to this quote either Accepting it, or Not Accepting (giving reason for the non-acceptance). When the Service Manager is ready to send their reply, the below pop-up will appear.
If the Service Manager selects Send Reply & Create Associated Project Order, they will automatically be taken to a new page, whereby they will see a pre-configured Draft notice of a Project Order.
The same effect can be seen by selecting Create Associated Service Manager Project Orders once the reply has been communicated.
How to Link Project Orders with Instruction to Quote
The above methods will take the user to a new page, whereby they will see a pre-configured Draft notice of a Project Order. This Project Order draft will be auto-populated with relevant information from the Service Manager Instruction to Quote.
In order to directly link the two notices, follow the steps below.
- Either before or after a Project Order has been communicated, select the Relations tab.
- Select Add/Edit.
- Under Project Orders, select Project Manager Instruction To Quote
- Select the appropriate ITQ
- Select Save Changes
Your Project Order is now linked with its ITQ.
