How to notify a Supervisor’s Defect
The Supervisor can create a defect by clicking on the green Create New dropdown button at the top of the page...
or by using the left-hand navigation panel.
From the Defect Notifications register, click Create New.
You are required to enter the Subject, and the details of the Defect. Once ready, click Create Draft.
This allows the Supervisor to check the details produced and add a relevant attachment (e.g. a photo which would be a good idea here to clearly show the defect).
Once you're ready, click Communicate Defect Notification, then Communicate.
How to Update a Defect Notification
Once created there is an Actions tab where the Supervisor can update the latest action to be taken and by who. This can be done using the Update Action tab.
Enter the name of the Action Owner, and what action they are to take, then when you're ready click Update Defect Actions.
How to Close a Defect Notification
When the Supervisor agrees it is closed out the Supervisor can confirm the final action and confirm the date it has been closed which then updates the Register.
Within the Actions tab, select the Close Defect tab.
Choose the Close Date, then select Close Defect.
