Overview
The “How do I?” feature of the AI Chatbot provides FastDraft users with instant access to support guidance without leaving the platform. The chatbot uses information from our published support articles to answer questions, helping users find guidance faster and reducing the need to manually search the handbook or raise a support ticket.
The chatbot is available directly within FastDraft, and can be used at any time to find answers to common questions, understand workflows, and locate relevant support content. Please note that the functionality may not yet be enabled for your organisation. In these cases, we will require approval from the appropriate system owner or authorised contact before the feature can be activated.

The chatbot is available 24/7 and can be accessed at any point whilst working in FastDraft.
Asking Questions
Type your question into the chat window in plain language.
Example Questions
- How do I raise an Early Warning?
- How do I create a Compensation Event?
- How do I add a new user?
- How do I delegate my actions?
- How do I change my email notification settings?
- Where can I find the Contract Information area?
You do not need to use specific terminology or exact article titles. Simply describe what you are trying to achieve and the chatbot will search the available support content for relevant guidance.
Reviewing Responses
When a question is submitted, the chatbot:
- Searches the FastDraft support knowledge base.
- Identifies the most relevant support articles.
- Generates a user-friendly summary of the guidance.
- Provides links to the underlying support articles where applicable.
This allows you to quickly find an answer while still having access to the full support documentation if you require further detail.
Best Practice Tips
To get the most accurate results:
- Ask clear, specific questions.
- Describe the process or feature you need help with.
- Use contract terminology where possible.
- Ask one question at a time for more focused results.
- Open any linked support articles if you require additional information.
Example
Instead of:
"Compensation Event"
Try:
"How do I create a Compensation Event quotation?"
This provides additional context and helps the chatbot return more relevant guidance.
FastDraft AI Chatbot Features
The AI Assistant now includes two new menu options: Chats and Saved Prompts.
Chats
The Chats section displays up to 10 previous conversations. Each entry shows when the conversation took place, its name, and the prompt from which it originated.
Hover over the right-hand side of a chat to reveal the three-dot menu. From here, you can rename, star or unstar, or delete the chat.
Saved Prompts
Saved Prompts works in a similar way to Chats. You can save up to 10 prompts for reuse, rename a saved prompt, or delete it.
After creating a prompt, use the option below the prompt box to save it.
Feedback
After the AI Assistant provides a response, you can rate it with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down.
