This article is a guide on how to navigate copying notices within FastDraft. The Copy Notices feature allows users to duplicate notices across multiple contracts, reducing repetitive manual effort. Although it has been deployed to all our instances, it is currently in beta mode and only available on request. Please liaise with your account manager or our support team.
This guide contains the following:
Key Features
- Copy notices to multiple contracts
- Works across different workflows
- Supports multi-contract selection
- Retains content and attachments
How to copy notices
- Open an existing communicated notice. The copy function will not be visible if the notice is in draft.
- Select Copy on the right hand side
- You can then select which contract(s) to copy the draft to and then click on Create Draft(s).
- The drafts are created in the Generic Drafts area of each target contract.
- The next steps to add them into the contract are to:
- Assign each draft to a workflow
- Review and amend content if required
- The workflow type can be changed during assignment (select under clause/type)
- The content may need adjustment - e.g. terminology differences if you have copied from a different contract type
- The draft notice is now created in the selected workflow and must be communicated manually.
- There is a filter on this register to view all previously assigned notices or just unassigned notices.
Limitations
The current limitation are:
- This functionality is initially limited to contracts within the same instance
- There is no bulk issuing across contracts
- Manual validation is required for each draft
