What is a Company Administrator?
As an enterprise customer using the Managed Instance of FastDraft (which is typically administered by BI Staff only), you may require the ability to administer the software in a similar fashion to how you would on a Dedicated Instance, but restricted in such a way that you can't see any other companies apart from the company you are assigned to.
It will be possible to have more than one person assigned the role of Company Administrator for one company.
Companies
Company Administrators' primary roles will be to manage their company's users within FastDraft. There are a number of activities available within their company record for a Company Administrator, including:
- Uploading a company logo - only if this is the first logo assigned to a company record.
- Update company record - i.e. address, frameworks, company number, 'enable company users', etc.
- Adding new company users
- Deactivating company users
- Managing Hub Users
- Managing financial limits for company users
- Allow Power BI menus
- Manage user's email preferences on/off
Company Administrators will not be able to deactivate their own company.
When adding a new company user, Company Administrators will only be able to add those users as General Users or Company Administrators.
Add New Companies
Company Administrators will not be able to create any new companies. If you are a Company Administrator and would like a new company created, please contact support@builtintelligence.com and ask a member of our support team to action this for you. The support team will also need to add users to these external company records - Company Administrators can only add users to their own company record.

Projects
Company Administrators will be able to create their own projects. Projects are used to create and link contracts.
Within a project, a Company Administrator will be able to:
- Update the project name, type and code
- Update the project status (active, archive, or delete)
Relevant Articles:
Contracts
Company Administrators will be able to create their own contracts.
They will not be able to add any companies to the contract that they do not have an association with. What this looks like, in practice, is creating a contract with only their company associated to the contract (i.e. filling in all PM/Supervisor/Supplier fields with their company), and then once the contract is created our staff in the Customer Success team can retrospectively add any additional companies that need to be associated with the contract.
Once the BI team have been in and added the external companies, that Company Administrator will always have an association to the company - meaning any future contracts they create will provide them with the option to select those external companies.
Demo Contracts
A Company Administrator will be able to create and administer demo contracts - as with normal contracts, they will only be able to add users who belong to one of the companies in the Contract Overview.

Contract Users
Company Administrators will be able to manage which users have access to their contracts. These users can be added from any of the companies that are included in the Contract Overview, even outside of their own company. They can also allocate/remove access to the Exports menu for specific user(s).
Add User to Multiple Contracts
A Company Administrator will be able to use the Add User to Multiple Contracts feature, but they will only be able to add users of their own company, and only to contracts that they are associated with.
Relevant Articles:
Tagging
Company Administrators will be able to create tags, including Projects and Hubs. They will only be able to create these tags for their own company, as they'll only be able to see their own company as an option in the dropdown menus.
Relevant Articles:
Contract Templates & Master Templates
A Company Administrator will be able to edit their own contract templates, but they will also be able to clone one of our Master Templates.
Once cloned, the new template will automatically be set to 'System Default = off' and "Is Global = off", and this template will automatically be assigned to the Company Administrator's own company.

Reporting
Aggregate Reports
Company Administrators will be able to use the Aggregate Reports feature - they can select any 'Report Type', but will only see their company as an option in the 'Project Company' dropdown list, and will only be able to see their own company's data.
Relevant Articles:
User Registers
Company Administrators will be able to view the System User Report and the Contract Users Register, but only for their associated companies - this includes any company associated to a contract created by the Company Administrator.
