This article is a guide to configuring and customising your contract dashboard.
This guide contains the following:
Introduction
FastDraft contract dashboards have a default layout. It is possible to customise this layout, and also what information you would like displayed, from the contract template.
This functionality is available for Company Administrators, Site Administrators, and Site Supports.
You can apply the contract dashboard changes within your Master Templates so that the change filters down to all of the contracts pointing at that template, or if you have a contract not pointing at a Master Template then the changes can be bespoke per contract.
This functionality is designed to help the user see what matters most to them, tailor the dashboard to your priorities, reduce clutter by removing sections you don't use, work faster, and get key insights at a glance.

How to configure your dashboard
To customise your contract dashboard, from either the contract template or the master template, go to Dashboard Design.
There are four sections:
- Components
- Contract Dashboard
- Page
- Outline
Please note - the graphics in your Dashboard Design will display dummy data, rather than your live data.
Components
The Components column is broken down into:
- Layout
- Info panels
- Doughnut charts
- Other
Layout
Layout refers to the number, size, and layout of tiles within a specific area of the dashboard. For example, GRD 2C Middle NOPAD means it's a 2-tile grid.
NOPAD refers to the space between each tile - as in the above screenshot, each tile is directly next to the one on its left/right. Whereas in the below screenshot, GRD 2C Normal in the screenshot below shows some gapping between the 2 tiles.
Some layouts make reference to Normal or Wide. The difference between normal and wide refers to the size of the tiles.
Below shows GRD 4C Normal 2C Middle NOPAD (outlined in red) compared with GRD 4C Wide 2C Normal NOPAD (outlined in blue).
To add a layout to your dashboard design, simply drag the layout option onto the dashboard view.
It is also possible to place layouts within existing layouts. Simply drag the layout option and drop it into the tile of the existing layout.
To clone a layout, click the Clone button.
To delete a layout, click the Delete button.
Info Panels
Once you've added the layout, you can add an info panel to it.
To do this, simply drag the info panel and drop it onto the tile you'd like it to display on.
The tile you add it to will affect whereabouts on the dashboard it appears in relation to other info panels, once they've been added.
To clone an info panel, click the Clone button.
To delete an info panel, click the Delete button.
Note: some info panels contain much larger amounts of visual data than others (i.e. Contract Price is bigger in length than Contract users) and this can affect how the other info panels are displayed, as the layout panel will auto-adjust to fit the size of the largest info panel.
Doughnut Charts
You can also add doughnut charts to layout panels.
To do this, simply drag the doughnut chart and drop it onto the tile you'd like it to display on.
The tile you add it to will affect whereabouts on the dashboard it appears in relation to other info panels/doughnut charts, once they've been added.
To clone an doughnut chart, click the Clone button.
To delete an doughnut chart, click the Delete button.
Other
Lastly, you can add the Contract Name and/or Contract Calendar to your dashboard. These are classified as 'Other'.
To do this, simply drag the contract name/calendar and drop it onto the tile you'd like it to display on.
Contract Dashboard
The Contract Dashboard section of the Dashboard Design tab is the display of your current layout as it's being edited.
In the left-hand corner, you can choose whether you'd like to show/hide either the left or the right sidebar, should you wish to increase the size of your dashboard editing view.
In the right-hand corner, you can choose whether you'd like to undo/redo the latest action.
Underneath the Contract Dashboard title, you can:
- Choose which device view you'd like to change the editor to (i.e. mobile phone, tablet, or desktop).
- Zoom in/out manually
- Pick a preset zoom
Page
In the Page section, you can choose to rename your info panels. Each info panel has a default title, but you can change this by clicking on the info panel, and in the Page sidebar renaming it under Title.
This will change in real-time in the dashboard display in the middle of your screen.
Note: the title can only be changed for info panels; doughnut charts and contract name/calendar titles cannot be amended.
Outline
In the Outline panel, you can see a listed order of every layout, info panel, and doughnut chart that you have added to your dashboard design.
It will sort the list into columns within each layout panel.
You can select an item to see it highlighted in your dashboard design, making it easy to spot.
