Using the dashboard
The contract Dashboard displays key metrics for the contract that you are working on. It does not display aggregated metrics across all of your contracts - only the contract you are logged in to. To view your contract data across multiple projects, use the Aggregated Reporting Tool.
The language on the Dashboard is designed to be contract neutral so that it looks and feels familiar as you move from one contract to another, even if the contracts types are different.
The Dashboard displays the following metrics:-
- Contract Users
- Contract Price
- Contract Dates
- Programme Dates
- Payments
- Outstanding Actions
- Pie Charts
- Early Warnings/Risks
- Compensation Events/Implemented Compensation Events
- Calendar of notice deadlines
The Dashboard is also designed to work in conjunction with the registers so that you can drill down into the registers to investigate bottlenecks or a specific notice.
Each of the metrics can be drilled into with the following respective register to find answers:
- Contract Users - Contract User list
- Contract Price - Implemented Compensation Events register and Submissions (with quote) register
- Contract Dates - Implemented Compensation Events register
- Programme Dates - Contractor Programme Register
- Outstanding Actions - Contract RAG Report
- Pie Charts
- Early Warnings/Risks - Early Warning (Risk) register
- Compensation Events - Master Compensation Event register
- Implemented Compensation Events - Implemented Compensation Events register
There is a collapsible left-hand panel to allow more information to be viewed on the screen. This is the navigation menu. Click on any of the items with an icon next to them e.g. Early Warnings to expand the workflow group and then click on any of the workflows to arrive at the relevant Register.
Using the registers
Each workflow group on the Contract Management Platform has a series of workflows and all of the notices within a workflow are displayed in a Register. When notifications are communicated on the system, it will be added to the Register and display the appropriate information e.g. sequential reference number, subject, date notified, date response required by, status, etc. When a notice is drafted but not sent it is saved in the Register but not visible to the other side. Both Parties can keep on top of draft notices as these are listed in the notification panel and can be actioned from here.
All timescales for response either from the contract or bespoke from the project contract data, are integrated into the system so that the RAG status will show when either Party is close to being late in responding or indeed are now late.
Each Register shows all the information that the contract requires it to show and also lots of other useful information to help you manage the workflows in your contracts. By default there are 3 different versions of these Registers:- one for each Party and a combined Early Warning Register showing all Early Warnings. By default most Register shows:-
- ID
- Subject
- Notified Date
- Notified By
- Reply Required
- Reply Received
- Reply Status
Additional data fields associated with the workflow can be added to the Register using the column chooser, these are specific to each workflows, but can be dragged into the table by selecting the column chooser icon.
By way of example the following additional fields can be added to the table for the Early Warning workflow. They are populated as Early Warnings are raised and actioned but can be added or removed from the Register as you wish without affecting the data:
- Meeting
- Priority
- Risk Status
- Action Owner
- Resolved Date
- Status
- Replied By
- Reply Draft By
- Description
- Action
- Description
- Action
- Project Code
- Project name
- Replying Party
- Portfolio Tags
- Programme Tags

Filtering, searching and exporting your data in Registers
If you have lots of data in a Register you can also search across the whole Register, and search individual data fields. All our registers now allow our users to search against rich text. This lets you filter for text within sections such as comments, descriptions, etc. In this example below, we have the My Contracts Register so you might just search the contract title, reorder the listing of your contracts or filter your contracts a number of different ways, to help find the right contract.
Reordering the Register in the new UI
You can reorder the listing of your contracts in the Register by click any of the columns in the Register and click it again to reorder it in the opposite order. An icon will appear after you have done this in the column selected to show you the Register is ordered by this column in either ascent or descent order.
Search your contracts in the new UI
From My Contracts page you can search your contracts to find a specific contract. This can be done across the whole Register of your contracts or across individual columns. The Register search is located in the top right corner of the Register and data field search is at the top of each data column. The global search is in the top navigation panel and searches across contracts.
Filter your contracts in the new UI
From My Contracts page you can filter the view of your contracts by selecting the column that you wish to filter by and clicking the filter icon. If you wish to filter by data which isn't currently displayed in the Register, like for example, implemented value of CEs, you will need to add additional data fields to your register first.
You will then be presented with a number of options depending on the data type.
For text fields you can do smart filters for complex filters, such as:-
- Contains
- Does not contain
- Ends with
- Starts with
- Equals
- Does not equal
For text fields you can do smart filters by bandings.
For date fields you can do smart filters for complex logic, such as:-
- Equals
- Does not equal
- Greater than
- Less than
- Greater than and equal to
- Less than and equal to
- Between
For date fields you can filter by Year, Month and Day, using the date selector icon.
For numeric fields you can do smart filters by value bandings and specific amounts.
Add additional data fields to your Register in the new UI
The "column chooser" feature allows you to add any of the additional data fields that are associated with each contract into your Register. You can do this by clicking the column chooser icon.
With the column chooser fields you can add any of the following data fields to the Register so you can complete additional filters and searches, on this data:-
- Contract Name
- Project Name
- Project Code
- Contract Type
- Supplier
- Currency
- Original Contract Price
- Current Contract Price
- Contract Value Outstanding
- Start Date
- Original Completion Date
- Current Completion Date
- Total Certified
- Lead Consultant/Contractor
- Lead Client
- Lead PM/SM
- Implemented CE Value
- Contract Value Outstanding
- Price Change
- Lot
- Framework
- Hub
- Area
- PO Number
- PO Value
Export a list of your contracts
There may also be occasions when you need to export a list of your contracts. You can do this by selecting the export icon and your browser should automatically start downloading a CSV file.
